My Goals as a Nurse
Goal 1: To provide good health care, I must understand more about culture sensitive care
Silva et al. (2023) emphasized that cultural competence and organizational support are key to delivering inclusive, effective care in diverse settings.
This article helped me see how improving cultural knowledge and work environments leads to better, more empathetic nursing practices.
Goal 2: To provide better care, I must reflect on my own beliefs and nursing culture.
Tosun et al. (2023) showed that combining theory and hands-on experience strengthens cultural competence in nursing students.
This article helped me recognize the value of self-awareness and ongoing learning in delivering culturally sensitive care.
Goal 3: To educate culturally diverse patients effectively, I must strengthen my skills and knowledge.
ÄŒervený et al. (2022) highlighted that cultural competence training improves communication and care quality across cultures.
This article gave me practical strategies to better educate patients about their treatment plans in a respectful, inclusive way.
